If you have something that you want to admit, admit it here. I have a couple things I want to admit.

1) I have a bad fear of heights.

2)I have no feeling at all in my left hand but can move my fingers.

For those who say they fear heights do you actually fear heights or fear falling? I think there's a difference.

Both for me. I can't step near an edge without freezing and getting dizzy...

Fear of falling/ crashing is odd, I can ride full tilt and crash and not worry about it, stick me on a drop and for some reason THAT crashing worries me

Not trying to sound tuff, or like a big man, but honestly I can't say there is much I am afraid of, I guess loosing loved ones would be my biggest fear, other than that I guess I'll try just about anything I think, not sure if that makes me ballsy, or just stupid, maybe a lethal combination of both :) I do no my limits though, and live within them, I know I'm not going to be hucking a back flip on my Dirt Bike or doing sick 40' gaps on my Mt. Bike, so I guess that can vouch for a liitle sence in my noggen. Just watched episode 8 of Drop nwhen Dude shatters his heals, and man that's a reality check :(

4) Failure, it's what drives me through school...I don't want to end up homeless.

My hair turned completely white when I was 22.
It's never changed.

I'm not afraid of heights at all,it's not uncommon for me to be 60ft off the ground on the peak of a house. I don't like Horses, big powerful animals. My wife just got a new horse and I won't have anything to do with it.

Im not afraid of falling. I love the adrenalin rush when that happens like on a roller coaster or such. what I AM afraid of is that sudden stop at the end of a fall. I am deathly to the point of getting dizzy afraid of rising, like on a coaster,or when I have to go up the ladder to clean my gutters(3 story house). once I get up there Im fine. also Im afraid to lose my temper. Im like a person standing beside myself saying calm the heck down when I lose it. I get angry but fear not being angry responsibly and going nuts. bugs, spiders, snakes wildlife etc. are cool unless they startle me then its the fear of my temper all over again because I want to kill them. I was afraid of water as a kid due to almost drowning but my older brother cured that by beating the crap out of me in the water and doing the hold me under till I almost drown again thing. hes over 50 now and I can kick his arse! he wont go near the water now though so I dont get to. as you can tell by my posts I am not afraid to say dumb things or ask dumb questions. having kids helps a person get over a lot of fears

I don't have the capital to buy a $$$$ FS bike.

I'm afraid of breaking my jaw or teeth when I wipe out.

I don't mind snakes, am afraid of black widow spiders (some live in the garage.)

I'm not as handsome or intelligent as I seem on the internet.

2)I have no feeling at all in my left hand but can move my fingers.

I have this problem, but just on my little finger and half my ring finger (which maps to specific nerves). This is a result of a fall on the ice as a pedestrian in 1989. It was weird at first, but now I don't notice it.

Second admission: I have a great fear of asking people to do things. I hate calling up people and asking them to volunteer. I hate asking people to show up at meetings. This is not a good characteristic in a middle manager ;)

Afraid to admit who i like, but that's just due to peer pressure. Otherwise, no problem.
Have a grudge against those who humiliate me, forever.
Was afraid of hitting drops/anything risky - being abstinent.

1: I am sh*t scared of rats (they want to eat me I know it!)
2: I am afraid of falling on rocks, not the big ones like I did this morning, but the head and torso sized ones that break bones.
3: I'm faster at night ( cant see the rocks until your on them)
4: I cant go past a junk pile. ( you know when they have those swap-your-rubbish kerbside collections)

I'm not sure but this is especially obvious when say, I climb a long set of stairs into an old castles tower, come out at the top and it's really high up I just stay as far away from the edge as I can. In my case I think it's much more fear of falling off that height rather than being scared of the actual height. :o

EDIT: Yeah, I just remember I'm quite scared of pitch dark places.

Yes, I am afraid that any time I'm not dead last in a BMX race, it's simply charity. I'd like to thank Paul for crashing last night and giving me my 4th place finish. Had the guy he tangled with not gotten up so quickly, I could have had a shameful 3rd place.

I am terrified of big spiders, the little ones I can easily crush
I am very simplistic, utilitarian. Hence, I ride a single-speed MTB and road bike, and the road bike only has a front brake. Just the bare essentials.
I take stupid, but calculated risks
I am on the verge of alcoholism (maybe)
I hate just about everyone I meet, unless I have something in common.
I am very poor.

I hate asking for money owed to me. i.e., asking for Rent money from my roommate.

I hate spiders bigger than the size of a quarter.

I suck at personal finances. I still haven't done my taxes.

I'm a big time procrastinator. Many times to my detriment.

Hopper
04-11-05, 12:59 AM
I have lost all feeling in my little and middle toe on my left foot permanantly by crushing some nerve endings yesterday. I also don't like asking people for money which they owe but don't mind asking to borrow money.

Brian
04-11-05, 01:42 AM
Hopper, can I borrow a few notes off ya?

Hopper
04-11-05, 01:44 AM
What notes??? If I can help then why not.

I also do stupid things, dangerous and embarassing. I was talking with some of my female friends and one was complaining about how guys don't uderstand how hard it is to walk in high heels. I said it can't be that hard so she offered me her shoes, 4inch leather boots that go up to about the bottom of your knee. Well I accepted, didnt do them up though... too tight. I also believe that women who complain about high heels are lying, I jogged up and down some stairs, did a little jig and even chased her to get my normal shoes back. However I did all this after her school play and there were about 150 girls there and lots of teachers... very embarrising. Then my mate decided to kick me in the balls to check whether I was a guy or not... needless to say that added injury to insult:(
