I had a 12-28 cluster, I found it slow. First I added 2 teeth to my ring -now 38T...well that was better, but not perfect.
This week I had an 11T put on to replace the 12...WOW!
I got to do a little flatland today and it was perrrrfect for hard cranking, shifts fine, feels very solid.
My speed increase with the 3 teeth added is pretty good!
A 12Tcog to 36T chainring, 170 cranks\26 inch tire is 18.6 mph @ 80rpm.
A 11Tcog to 38T chainring, 170 cranks\26 inch tire is 21.4 mph @ 80 rpm.
2.8 mph increase on an 80rpm spin. :)

Anyway, anybody running single chainring bikes with clusters -if you have a 12, and need a little speed =try an 11t cog.
My question is, and this is my fault, I wasn't paying attention...
What cluster cannot take the 11T ring? I recently read -perhaps in the road forum -that some clusters will not accept the 11?
My cluster cogs are hyperglide, it worked.
I'm to buy a new cluster and I want to swap this cog onto it.
I can run this by my mech, and I will purchase through his shop-
-but anybody know what I'm talking about - the non-compatibility of 11T cogs on clusters?
