General Cycling Discussion - What are your favorite online bike shops...

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I'm looking for good online bike shops that have bikes & accessories with good customer service. Good prices are obviously a must.
Thanks

While you will get many responses with everyone's favorite seller
you'll have to go far to find a better eaiser place to shop than......
www.nashbar.com They sell the components that the "rest of us" would
use or be able to afford that is of good quality at a fair "joe average"
prices.
Many here complain about nashbar service & quality but I've not had one
single reason to even whine about anything I've bought from them or their
service. I guess some folk's expect everything for free......
As a tip......
make a habit of checking Nashbar's web site every friday for the weekly
"weekend" sale. I've got some killer deals then.

Price shop between performancebike.com and nashbar.com. For example I was looking for a Deore rear derailer to replace on that a chain took out last week, and the LBS wanted $50, Nashbar wants $40, but performancebike.com only wants $25 for it. BIG difference. BTW they're owned by the same parent company.

Nashbar, Performance and SuperGo will all pricematch should you find the item at one of the other shops for less. So does Jenson USA and Price Point.
Colorado Cyclist seems to be more expensive and they do not match prices of their competitors.

nashbar.com - for good deals, shipping can take awhile
wallbike.com - hard to find stuff and retro-grouch items, awesome customer service
competitivecyclist.com - for the latest stuff and they ship very quickly, great customer service

Also, remember to use their coupons. They always have 10% off coupons and sometimes 20% off EVERYTHING in stock. Got a pile of stuff a couple months ago with a 20% coupon, plus most items were already 50+ percent off!
I also like ediscountbike and REI Outlet. REI sometimes has bike stuff in their deal of the day. Recently got some $40 BELL bike helmets for $10 each and a cycling jacket for $15. And shipping is free if you have an REI store nearby where you can pick it up.
Well, it depends on what you're looking for...

For stuff out of the Quality Bike Parts (QBP) catalog it's hard to beat aebike.com.
IcyclesUSA likes to play games with the shipping costs. Also to spite me they said my C-card was "invalid" and canceled my order three times wafter I validly challenged their shipping policy. My bank told me there was no record of any inquiry for funds from Icycles. This happened several times in a row. With thirty-five years of using mailorder I do not recommend ICYCLESUSA. There have been nunerous complaints against them according to the Nevada better Business Bureau. Icycles refuses to have telephone service available for customers.

I HIGHLY recommend www.lickbike.com. Incredible customer service, and they'll work with you on prices. Got a gruppo and extra crank for the best price on the web.
