Trying to find out for a friend here.

A GT XCR4000 full suspension bike.
Everything's in really good shape. Paint looks unscathed, tires are still good, all the parts look barely worn.

I just took a quick glance at it, while drunk too mind you, it looks like it's mostly original parts. From what I can remember, it had Judy Rock Shox, Shimano brake levers, which ones i don't remember, Shimano V-brakes, Shimano rapid fire shifters, and i don't remember what derailers were on it, and the rims looked like they were in decent shape too...

So what's it worth? I looked it up, and the model's a 1999 bike. From what I managed to find on the net, it seems like it retailed about 1000 back in the day, though I don't know if that price is accurate.

Thanks in advance...

Can't really help without any pics of it.

Can you get a digital and snap a few.

w/o pictures I would venture to guess that if she got $350 for it she'd be doing well. The bike is almost 6 years old. Sorry, bikes are like computers. New technology makes the old technology worthless.

It appears that they were only made during the 1999 & 2000 model years. The MSRP was $900 for both years.

Considering the "age" of the bike & nothing else (wear, tear, etc.) I'd guess that the value would be fairly low, toward $300 maybe.
