Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Oh noes! I had decided that aerobars were too expensive for my first triathlon so I haven't invest in them. Lo and behold one ex-tri guy here is selling his Profile Airstryke ZB set for $25!
1: Anybody have these? Are they indeed nifty?
2: Twenty five bucks sounds like a good price...
3: Is it too late to start training with them today for my first tri on May 1?
Thanks!
If you can get a few rides in on them beforehand, give them a try.

Very good aerobars, especially if you are retrofitting a roadbike for tri's; the flip-up armpads really allows you full access to the hoods and drops, so the aerobars are there only "there" when needed. I've found it take a few rides to get used to the bars, especially transitioning from the hoods to the aerobars as you will change the weightdistribution towards the front of the bike.
