I just got back into MTB and have my old trek 6000. how decent are these bikes compared to the ones out now. I want to put some disk breaks on and mabee a new fork. or should i just look into buying a new bike? how much could i get for my trek.

What year is your 6000?
You may or may not be able to add discs to it. I know on their new bikes you need an adapter for the disc mount. Don't know how far back it'll work. Check your local Trek dealer for input.
Can you take a picture of your bike and it's condition?
That would help immensly!

not too sure on the year. 98 mabe not sure at all is there any way to find out. Its in great condition only thing thats not is the fork is scrated up preaty bad on one side from a wreck. Il get a pic of it tomarow.

Any bike pre 2000 won't allow the ISO disc's now in existance to fit properly....
