I have etnies Rooftop shoes and they grip super good. I think most of the etnies shoes have that same gripy bottom.

i used to wear lotek troops for street, but i worn a hole in the bottom.I'm currently riding with dunks and i'm gonna use the edwins soon. i'd recommend etnies. don't get dc's- the sole wears out quickly. shoes don't matter much, as long as you get used to them. when you change shoes your feet will feel different. I think lowtop jordan 8's and nike raids are the best, but that's me

I would go with something that feels the most comfortable, but it depends on how much abuse you put shoes though, i ride brakeless, and use my feet to stop so i got through shoes fast.
