Two awards due here: Rattiest Grand Prix in North America, and Most Delusional, or Optimistic Seller.
I guess in his neck of the woods, a 'gentle tune-up' includes straightening the forks. :p But hey -- getting that old Schwinn Messinger saddle thrown in makes it all worthwhile.

Pretty much how every other kid's ten-speed looked in the '70s where I grew up. I preferred the old Schwinn "beach cruiser" back then (lived a mile from the beach).

What's the starting bid on that?

Looks like you have two options with this bike - turn the handlebars down for that sleek racer look, or leave them as is for the 80 year old insane homeless man look!

That look also requires a plastic milk crate bungeed to a luggage rack.

I surprised he didn't take it down the road a piece to CyclArt to have it custom painted. :D
I wonder what the reserve price is?
He probably saw the $8K Schwinn and thought, hey, must be worth a grand at least.

Nah; I e-mailed him. He's just some old Polish guy who doesn't know anything about bikes. He asked me what I thought he should ask for it, and I said anything above $50 would be gravy. I think he plans to modify his auction.
I see the opening bid is $50 now. :roflmao:

What was the original opening bid?
I like the bit at the bottom:
Buyer can come over and test drive after winning auction.

I'd pay $50 if I couldn't see so much rust! The components seem to be made of it...
