Introductions - Another canuck cyclist here...Winnipeg

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hey all

A commuting guy here in Winnipeg (darn potholes) who moved here from Sidney BC last year. I miss the roads there :( I'm in the Air Force, fixing planes for a living but I'd rather be working at a shop fixing bikes. But my day job pays well, so planes it is. I got into cycling while living in BC and wish I started when I was younger. So again, hi to all you world wide cyclists .

I'm so sorry to hear of your move to Winnipeg!! I just moved away from Winnipeg 6 months ago, after living there for 13 years.

I had a friend in the Air Force there, who fixed planes (electrical stuff). I don't know if he's still there or if he was posted.

Look up the Manitoba Cycling Association for some rides and cycling other info. They've got a pretty good web page. :)

I also fled Winnipeg and I am so happy I live in a pothole free society. The rides up and down the rivers can be fun, other then that it is all flat and boring.

hi bison,
I actually live on Tanner...I have family in Winterpeg, and they love to visit here. They don't cycle...must be nice to be able to fix your own commuter.
