I've narrowed down my choice to a few bikes...
Marin Nail Trail (http://www.leisurewheels.co.uk/products.php?plid=m1b2s2p837&tbv=MARIN_Nail_Trail_BIKES_Mountain_Bikes_-_Front_Suspension)
Rocky Mountain Trailhead (http://www.bikes.com/bikes/2005/sport/trailhead.aspx#)
Fisher Tassajara Disc (http://www.fisherbikes.com/bikes/bike_detail.asp?series=genesis&bike=Tassajara_Disc)
One thing I have to point out is that the fork that comes on the Marin is the Manitou Black Super, not the Axel Super, not sure why it's printed up like that in their catalogues. Definatley an awesome fork compared to the other two, but you pay about $200 more.
I hate for it to come down to looks, but I can't help but dislike the color of the nail trail (bronze aka brownish), even though it has the cool edged frame. If it was a nicer color I'd probably be all over it.
The Fisher and the Rocky Mountain are nice bikes. The brakes and fork aren't as good as the marin, but they're also about $200 cheaper. Plus I love the look of both.
I know it comes down to the feel of the bike and they all felt pretty close. I had no beef with any of them. I couldn't stand the Trek I rode.
Anyways, does anyone have any opinions to help with the tiebreaker?
