I'm using one and really like it, very smooth and quiet, much more so than cheaper chains.

I've heard bad things about the bolt-on master link. loosening due to street vibration and such. nothing substantial though, just stories of stories.

I've used the chain with the masterlink on street and track without any problems, if it sketches you out just don't use it. The high end izumi chains have prettymuch the same link.
U don't have to use the master link.
I never use it.

I've used the high-end HKK chains, but tend to like the Izumi V Gold chain a bit better. Both are good chains, but the Izumi is a bit quieter. On the track I don't notice a difference in longevity but on the road, the Izumi seems to last a bit longer. The rollers have a little more slack in them, which might allow them to clean out a bit better so they don't wear as fast -- who knows. At this high level of quality I'd just buy on price -- there's not too much to pick between them. Both install very nicely so they don't really need the master link, which isn't all that rapid anyway.
