A couple of the little velcro attachment points have come unglued in my helmet. Does anyone have a recommendation for how to reattach them. I'm afraid to experiment because I don't want to use anything that might harm the foam.

Go to a local fabric/sewing/craft store and tell them what you need to do. They should be able to recomend something that will work. I think what they have is craft glue. It is a mild glue so it wont harm the helmet but it is really strong stuff. I think it comes in a golden brown color bottle.

I've used hot glue (from a hot glue gun) with mixed success. It holds for a while, but eventually you have to re-glue.

I just reattached mine with some double sided tape, I've only had a couple of rides since so I don't know how effective it will be.

I used Super Glue on my Giro Havoc with perfect results. No "melting" of the foam or damage to the pads.
Keep in mind that it's very permanent, so have a good idea where you want the pad before you glue.

Might be time to get a new helmet. If the helmet is new, might be time to call the manufacturer.

KleinMp99 has the answer. Get some foam glue.....from a crafts store, I used it and it works like magic.

I have tried several things, mostly with only temporary success. The last thing I tried seems to be working so far. It was a 2 part epoxy for plastics that I found at a hardware store. It's the only glue I have found that will hold for any length of time.

This is a new helmet, so I'll try some of the glues mentioned in the posts. I've only had one of the factory-installed pads come off. The other one I'm struggling with is one I added from the set they included with the helmet.
Thanks for all the good suggestions!

My dad manufactures industrial epoxy resins. They are so strong, and I made a transparent name tag with it and glued it onto my old bike. It never had the thought of coming off:)
I even used that resin to fix my RC car's suspension arm that broke into 2. It worked better than when it was new.
Just an advice to those who wants to use 2 part epoxy glue. You have to mix the 2 parts really well as it will determine the final physics of the glue. Not enough reaction will result a soft outcome and too much will result a hard but brittle outcome.

I used "Super Glue" Gel last night to reattach the velcro, and it seems to be holding. I'll know better in a couple of rides. It didn't do any harm to the foam, which was one of my chief concerns. Thanks, again, for all the suggestions!

Try model glue, no wait, don't do that... :)
