Hello, my name is capsicum and I'm a bikaholic. :p

So I work lowly jobs because, well because I'm stubbern, I really have no excuse.

I'm a south sound kinda guy.

Training wheels were off by about age 3.
I have a '92 Novara ponderosa that I bought new in '93 after spending my 5th grade year mowing lawns. I got a great sale price[$600 with extras], but full list, even back then, was $800. Now it is a tank. I recently realized that I ride mostly on the road and so I bought a '74 Schwinn Letour for $70(first year) repacked the berrings and zoom off I went. Both bikes weigh in right at 30 pounds. (on the light side of average when they were new.)
A list of hobbies or interests:
*Gardening/landscaping, mostly fruit trees and bushes, no sense growing something that you cant eat.
*Cooking; I like to eat good and I have to eat a lot.(pedal fuel)
*various forms of engineering, because my brain need exorsize far beyond what it gets at my lowly jobs.
*kayaking and sailing but I don't yet have a boat.
*Adventure Racing
*speculative investing, it's a game to me like poker.
*Home brew and wine.
*Motorcycles
*camping
*backpacking and hiking
*SCUBA
*Crochet
*sports nutrition and some general nutrition
*crack smoking
*rappelling, mountaineering, light duty climbing
*backcountry crosscountry skiing.
*psychology
*Art of various sorts
*Travel, not tourism, I don't stay in hotels or do preplaned activities.
*efficiancy and optimization, be it money, time, energy, material, or a combination of them I like to push the limits both low and high.
*Politics, on occation, it is to repetitive to interest me too much.
*chemistry and electronics
*philosophy
*cruisin' the wide web
*yada yada etc.

So other then all that above, I am who, you tell me I've posted enough over the last year, or have I?.

Good of you to finally introduce yourself. Been on forum for a couple of months now and have yet to do so, myself.
That's a lot of hobbies and interests!! But i can remember living in a diverse environment such as yours (actually, about 20 miles from Bonney Lake), and it is definitely conducive to a wide variety of interests.
Nice riding too, especially in that area. I was out on Tapps Island 2 weeeks ago, but didn't have a bike:(
Enjoy!!

Why would not having a bike on tapps island be a disapointment? Its just a small residential lake island, mostly golf course at that. Then again to each his own, I like to ride around the port of Tacoma after all.
