Commuting - Someone stole my shoes!

There's a small locker room where I work and I had been keeping my shoes on top of the lockers while not at work. There are probably 6 or 7 other pairs of shoes up there. But when I got into work this morning, my shoes were gone! Who the hell would want my shoes? The are very worn, the stitching is gone in a few places and the soles are extremely worn - they are really not even suitable for wearing outside. ARGH!!!

So I'm looking outside my office window right now and see a Portage Footwear, Inc. truck parked right near the front entrance. Wonder if they had anything to do with it? :)

Were the other shoes there? Maybe somebody weeded them out, thinking that your old ones weren't being used? I would ask around to see if anyone did a little "spring cleaning". Good luck!

Based on your description, someone probably looked at the condition and thought they were abandoned. It happens to me all the time -- particularly with food and clothing!

Well that makes 2 of us. I just visited the lbs on my lunch hour, and started talking to a guy there that I work with. Little did I know but he commutes too. He was trying to figure out what he needed to carry, so I showed him what I carry: spare tube, frame pump, patch kit, tire irons, and no multitoool??? My multitool is gone. At least they are a lot cheaper than shoes. Actually I am trying not to become totally pissed just yet becuase it may be in the garage at home (please please please).

Anyway, I hope you find your shoes.
