Ok so ill start off on how i ride. I do a lot of dirt jumping and some urban riding. I thought the Kona Cowan would be great for this since its a dirt jump bike and the fork is meant for dirt jmping or urban riding. The Pro Disc Hardrock seems like a durable fun bike that i could do all the same stuff with. I cant decide which one i want to get for my next bike. Also my skill is medium im not an expert but im not a beginner. Any help or opinions would be great!

For the type of riding you specified, i would go for the cowan, its a killer bike!

Yeah it sounds like a sweet bike. Would you recommend getting just the frame and my own parts or just buying the already built bike?

if you have the cash, the cowan is great ,my friend has one .but it is more expensive than the HR .if you invest the extra cash for the cowan in the hardrock for a new fork etc. you are at square 1 in my opinion .just go test ride them both if you can.

Sounds like the Cowan is the way to go. I like the color on the 05 too. My local bike shop has both the bikes so I will be able to test them both. Anything you would do to modify the Cowan?
