OKAY, i want to change my petals, but i have NO CLUE how to get the petals off. you would think after all the biking ive done, i would know this. but i dont. so PLEASE HELP ME

Pull them off one at time reciting "She loves me. She loves me not." :D
If you want to get your pedals off, use a 15mm wrench on the flats next to the crank.

Hopefully you mean pedals and not parts of a flower. Most pedals need to be removed (or attached) with a pedal wrench. A simple guide with pics can be found at:

Remember that the left pedal has a left-handed thread, meaning it loosens and tightens in the opposite directions of "normal" threads.

I just changed some stuck pedals and the easiest way for me to get them off is to remember that to loosen them you always turn toward the rear wheel. WD40 helps a lot!

Greasing the threads when you put them back on will help more.......
