These MS fundraiser are held all over Canada I believe. I was wondering if there is anyone that has ever attended one.

The brochure emphasizes on "getting your team together" for the ride, but I don't have one!

Any general info on this would be appreticated.

There has been a few posts recently about riding in Canada.

STOP IT.

I cycled for a week in Canada in 1992. Ever since I just drool at the thought whenever I hear the word Canada.

If I had the money I'd be on the plane tomorrow so that I could spend more time riding around. I'd also bring my family to show them what a wonderful place it is.

So stop posting threads that make me jealous.:D (Or better still, send me the money to fly over there for a month or two.)

I did a 100k MS ride in May. It was pretty cool to start a ride with hundreds of cyclists starting at the same time. The rides are organized with lots of areas for food & drink (could be spaced out better). They have road support in case of mechanical failure (flats, crashes, etc). I think you will have a good experience.

You don't need a team. That (team) is probably a better way for them to get more money raised. My wife and I rode, as well as several of our friends, but we all raised our money separately.

Hi Amir, I've done several MS150 rides here in Winnipeg, and am planning on riding on it this August.

They are always very well organized and attended. The last one I was on (two years ago) had over 600 cyclist, and they are expecting more every year. As previously mentioned there is lots of support, and on the ones I've attended there are activities, prizes, entertainment etc. at the overnight stop, before returning the next day.

I've never been on a team, but that might be fun. Usually you'll meet people as you ride or when you get to the end. It's always a lot of fun, and a worthwhile charity.

Wow, 600!

I hope there is less attendence the Vancouver one because these mass rides can get pretty hectic because of inexperienced riders...
