Hey, I had a trek 6000 that i paid 400 for, I gave a friend to tune it up, and install a riser bar on it, I gotten it back from him yesterday, but he said to me that the bike is like a 16.5 inch frame and is too small for me. SO i ended up selling it to some one for same 400 bux. Ended up loosing just 10 bux that I paid for a diffrent seat post.

Now i m thinking about getting a specialized hardrock sport (new). since a lot of people think it would be perfect for me, if i m lucky i ll try to get a better deal on a rockhopper, but i think hardrock is better since its more solid and cheaper.

Hope the guy who bought the bike enjoy it, even though its kind of pricey, he can afford it, and its a NICE bike now that i think about it, with the riser bar it felt more confortable and with tune up that i given it, the bike should ride pretty nice.

well when i get my new ride i ll post some pics ;)

Are you sure it was too small for you? I mean, before you sell it, isn't it better for you to take it to the LBS and get a proper fit? Maybe they could have made adjustments.

Parting is such sweet sorrow....

well the guy who works for a bike shop told me its too small for me, so he should know, I mean after the riser bar it felt better, but then again it was prolly 16-16.5 frame which is kind of small,

I am 5"10 with like 30-31 inch inseam, i think i ll get 17 inch hardrock sport v

can you upgrade it later for Disc brakes?

Cornish, ye you are right, because i thought i overpaid, now if i get hardrock , i ll save me like 50 bux, so its all good ;)

ttyl thanx guys

P.S. parting was not too bad since i only rode it 2x ;)

For the V brake version you would need to get a new wheelset I would imagine, disc ready hubs didnt come on my Brothers V brake hardrock, i think your better off going for the model up, the Sport disc version.
