Ooooooh, i said to myself when dad carried the big ol parcel in... Cracked her open, the fork is beautiful, a nearly new Z150 Freeride from Marz.. Went to fit it, and realised the steerer is too short, due to a miscalculation... Oooops, so Off it goes, and ive swapped it for a 2 ride old set of Manitou Shermans Flick plus', Apparently these are jsut as good, if not better than the Z1, and i cant wait until Tuesday to get it!

Miscalculation? Lol, that sucks. :( Oh well, at least you found something to swap it for.

Well, I bought mine 2nd Hand off Ebay, only a month old the steerer was 185mm long which i figured would be enough after the headset, stem and spacers, turns out it was just over a cm and a half short, and the top cap bolt didnt get down to the star nut..

I think I got a better deal anyway!

Watch the flick and be sure to learn how to do maintenance. They are not a set and forget fork, they require regular lubing and bushing changes.

and imo, its a great fork, but still not on par with the z1 hsvc for damping quality.

That almost happened to me with my psylo I got. It turned out that I had just barely enough steerer that I could use it if I didn't use any spacers. Thankfully it worked out for me, and at least you were able to swap it for another fork. Have fun with the flick.

those forks suck. my friend, whos 14 and weighs 110 lbs, and doesnt go big at all distroyed his sherman flick. the travel adjuster broke in 2 weeks (its stuck in the 5" travel position), and the fork only gets about 30mm of travel before it mysteriously locks up. and the travel it did have when it worked didnt feel that great, and now it just feels like ass. even my psylo feels like butter compared to that thing. and my friend is not alone, MANY people have distroyed their shermans- and i wont even get into the seal problems on that fork either. they dont call it manipoo for nothing.
