Mountain Biking - New option for the 29er fans.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Niner bikes finally releasing the One9. Guess the 29er revolution still building.
nothing against that bike, but i'm not a huge fan of top tubs that have such an extreme slope to them
Reminds me of the Fisher Rig (http://www.fisherbikes.com/bikes/bike_detail.asp?series=genesis&bike=Rig). Fisher got hip to 29ers a few years ago, but is just picking up on singlespeed now, afaik. Overlapping trends...

it seems that that is the only bike they make.

That would seem ideal. I love sloped tt's. Would be interested in trying her out.

Thats the one thing I haven't liked about any current 29ers I have seen...they all look like road bikes with flat bars. tt is perfectly straight and it looks too boxy. I don't like xc bikes geometries so this 'seems' ideal fo rme anyways :)
They (http://www.ninerbikes.com/) link (http://www.blockergroup.com/niner/links.html) to Stan's no-tubes (https://www.notubes.com/home.php), but I couldn't find any 29er stuff there (https://www.notubes.com/rims.php?cPath=42_45&osCsid=40eee59a00f3ec07653c6a7de210182a). Anyone know of tubeless 29er systems?

Thanks all for your interest. I will pop in time to time to answer questions you have.
Yes, our bikes have a very sloped downtube. There are many reasons for this.
1. Stiffer Bottom bracket. A must for singlespeeders
2. Lower standover. 29ers raise standovers
3. A small weight savings
I have been running Stans new Olympic 29 rim with great success. He does not have them posted on his website yet but if you call he will have them soon.

Wow, that is such a sweet looking bike! And singleSpeed too, no need to change that! ;)
