I've noticed that we get a lot of people on the Forum who join and then post a message for the sole apparent purpose of gaining just enough knowledge about a piece-o-junk bike to post it on ebay.
A typical message beginsl like, "I don't know much about bikes..." or "I'm new to cycling and I just found this great bike in my grandmother's garage..."
Then they ask how much the bike is worth, etc., which would lead one to believe that they don't really have any interest in cycling at all. In fact, all they want to do is pawn off some crummy bike for as much money as possible.
I acknowledge the fact that this is an open forum for all persons interested in cycling, but c'mon!
Question: We have names for many types of people we encounter in the cycling world. What should we call the one-timers who come looking for ebay info?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
