Mountain Biking - black elite 04, dj 3 05, or psylo xc 04?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Simple question. What's the best? I like to do urban, dj's a little, and xc. I only weigh in the 130's. I can get all for the same price. Thanks : )

Djer. I don't like the black and am still not sure if I trust the psylo to consistent abuse.

Djs overbuilt for XC and urban...never trusted Psylos, id go with the black.

ya i was thinking dj but it just weighs so much. 7 lb i think. will that feel weird, especially for a lighter rider? and what is there to know about blacks? i know nothing about them really.

none of those forks will work well everywhere. id go with the psylo if you arent going huge urban/dj's, and xc is important, or the dirt jumper if you do go big and xc is not so important. manipoo=no.

Agreed
Yep. Just put a new Manitou on the Cannondale. That's 3 of them in my shed now. By chance, not choice. Free being the operative word here.

the psylo is strong enough to handle some jumps and urban, but its not meant to be constantly beat on. but it sounds like you arent going to go huge, so id go psylo.

cool, i might be interested. but i found out i can get a pike sl (thoughts??) for 270, so maybe ill do that since people really like them. im not too wild about throwing on used parts, unless the price is right :D

It's two extra letters. Why be lazy?

I've got some Psylos, and they seem fine for light dj, and aggressive xc (I'm about 130 lbs too). Do you run disc or rim brakes? I'm not sure if the DJs have the capability of running rim brakes? I don't know much about the blacks.
Hope this helps

Its an east coast website. They were a bunch of guys pissed at Ridemonkey.com and started there own site. They tend to be very anti marzocchi for some very unreasonable reasons. (well they used to be)...I thought the mannerisms (sp) of djrider reminded me of a couple of the users so I was trying to find out who it was.
