Please share your photos of Asia

One thing I've noticed in this forum is a complete lack of photos that show the beauty and wonders of Asia. If you have some photos, please share them with us so we can be inspired too.

Personally, I have yet to go, so I'm sorry I have none (yet).

On vacation in Bohol Philippines. Here is a shot from the top of a mountain close to Loay Bohol. Great biking here!

Ulsan, South Korea, along the Taehwa River. Bike path in top-right of picture.

And, my bike is a 23" -- tough as hell to find, but it's possible. Don't settle for one that doesn't fit you.

Er, I have some photos from my last trip to
the Philippines but there are no bicycles in them.
I did buy and rode a mountainbike while I was
there but was too busy enjoying myself to take
plenty of pictures

With so many motorcycles in Thailand all the main roads have this wide lane. This is my first tour from Udon Thani to Sakon nakhon

Somehow this town in Thailand seems to be obssed with penile shaped objects.

This is Akashi Bridge, which is the longest (1,991 metres) suspension bridge in the world, located in West Japan. Unfortunately, you aren't allowed to cycle over it.

The wife and I are back in the Philippines again. Here is a 30 minute MTB ride from Loay to Loboc Bohol. I like this route because it gets you off the pavement and makes use of the bikes suspension. It is partially paved (about 50%) and the rest is a barely graded road. The road runs alongside the Loay-Loboc river. You will go through the small Barangays of Tambangan, Canlasid and Ugpon.

Here is the starting point. This sign is on the left side of the road if you are coming from Tagbilaran along the highway by the ocean. It is about a 45 minute ride from Tagbilaran and is just before you get to the Loay Loboc river

This sign is on the right side of the road. It is also a great place to stay if you are planning on staying in Loay.

Just past the Villa Limpia sign is a Bolo manufacturing shop.

If you make it to the steel bridge over the Loay Loboc river in the distance you went too far.

The first Barangay at the top of the first hill is Tamabangan. You will see the road split. Stay to the right.

To be continued......

What's left of Akashi Castle after the main tower was demolished by the Meiji government. Still well worth a visit though!

Thanks, I went to study in Nanjing University for 3 weeks.
This was last summer, July 2012. I placed a folding bike in
my single check-in luggage to avoid the the bike charge and
placed all of my clothes and personal items in my carry-on to
avoid the overweight and 2nd check-in fees.

Ah, yeah well I figured if I'm cycling in Asia I might as well be riding a quintessentially Asian bicycle.

This is from a weekend trip in southern Taiwan last weekend. That bike is getting demoted to commuter with an impending arrival of a Surly.
