......flash as a rat with a gold tooth!...they'd go well with his white Sidi's. To much 'Beach Rd' does strange things to a man :D

Odin 07-21-06 05:41 AM

Pity about those hubs being red/white... they look like they've been nicked from an old western saloon!

matagi 07-21-06 05:57 AM

OMG! There's a rider from Davitamon in the breakaway!

And here I thought every other DVL rider except Robbie and Cadel had withdrawn.

pshaw 07-21-06 06:18 AM

i have no idea how your supposed to do that scrape the mud off thing, i jhsut cant get that happening. from what ive read your foot is supposed to be flat then you lift your ankle on the up stroke? too much to think about!

only time i conciously lift on the upstroke is when im fast cadence - tech climbing on the MTB. otherwise its toes down ( comes naturally, is that a good thing??) and pedal like im pulling my knees towards the handle bars if that makes sence....

Hitchy 07-21-06 07:58 AM

NEWS FLASH.....Ya heard it here 2nd folks....apparently 'Der kiaser' has been sacked by TMobile for his part in the 'blood doping' affair....Disco will probably pick him up, they haven't been concerned about dopers (allegedly!) in the past

lotek 07-21-06 08:15 AM

all the smart seppo's are listening to midnight oil and AC/DC.
how did you guys ever come up with Men at work? or Kylie? or
the BG' s ( does that stand for Bloody Gits?) or Olivia???
sheesh, we sure have our share of bad music but so do y'all.
Flandis is originally from Pennsylvania, moved to California to ride mountain bikes.
Weird flapping style? Ankling? isn't that what Anquetil did? yah, thought so.
Also look at Cipo he sorta had the same style.

Guess der Jan won't be crushing anyone after this . . .

Olivia is a pom as well isn't she and Kylie might as well be considering she's lived here for about 20 years.

AC/DC are Scots aren't they (except for Johnston who's a Geordie)?

Even Barnesy's a Scot.

Are there any Australian performers who were actually born there?

Mundawuy Yunupingu!.......But other than that we'll 'adopt' them if they are any good! :D....a bit like the seppo's 'liberating' countries that just 'happen' to be chocca with oil. Actually, I heard U2 are really Aussies! :D

My first 'good' bike had them, and I reckon they were grouse.
Going from them to low flange Maillards with the old silver Arayas was crap.

Any wonder. That is close to the crappest hub/rim combo I've ever heard:D

jock 07-21-06 05:08 PM

could someone pleeeeze ban classic1 for bringing Russel Crowe back in here. Sheesh. :D

mrkott3r 07-21-06 05:17 PM

Can we just disown him? Can't NZ take him back? Or should we make him the first international citizen because no one wants him?

Fair dinkum? I lived there as a kid... not much culture there back then though, just market gardens and swamps.

Not excluding the mexicans or kiwis btw...

I would join a Sunday group ride with a BBQ for lunch.

The group ride could go to centennial Park or Lane Cove National Park or Bicentennial Park for a BBQ.

Noone wants Russell Crowe *cough* w@nker *cough*, except maybe the Bunnies, and then they only want his cash.

Nobody mentioned TISM, they're a truly strange bunch of Aussie musicians.

And hands off the Finns - two of NZ's finest musical geniuses. Neil's son Liam rocks out pretty hard too with his band betchadupa.

Since we are (kinda) talking about music at the moment:

I bought The Postal Service - Give Up and Bloc Party - Silent Alarm today. I have been wanting both albums for a while but finally got off my arse and got them. Both are excellent albums although Silent Alarm does seem to go on for a bit too long. And if you dont like Such Great Heights by the Postal service something is wrong with ya.

Sister got Placebo - Meds and the 2nd and 3rd album by Radiohead. I dont particulary like radio head but Meds is a good album. The only thing wrong with it is it is copy protected but for some strange reason I was able to rip it using CDex but the cd doesnt show up in itunes.

Hitchy 07-22-06 06:22 AM

Did I hear right?....Did farkwit Tomalaris just refer to 'Gary Gatt' as "the great man"................I don't think I can take much more!
