Forums are just one of those weird things. They're privately owned so technically if you own one you can do whatever they heck you like as long as it doesn't break any laws. I'm not sure whose laws you go by anyway considering most of these things are maintained in one country, admin'd in another, and frequested by people all over the world.

Most forum owners are pretty good and run a professional ship, but some are just downright fascists. I have ZERO respect for the people who run the Serotta board because they don't even have the common courtesy to warn you if you've been naughty - they just ban you for a month, then don't bother reinstating you pursuant to their Terms and Conditions no matter how many e-mails you send them.
Their forum is just a publicity tool for themselves, and I think in retrospect I shouldn't have even gone there because anyone that does is just riding their coattails, and all it does is validate their unprofessional behaviour and blue-blood conservatism and lack of balls to be able to deal with a little competiton. Ironically, not that I am.

Now this Neil guy, I have no idea WTF is up with this guy. We were having a good old banter via PM one second - me making fun of him because he's a Scot and him having a go at me for being an Aussie - but then this one time I jokingly have a go at this circle jerk of a post....a ludacrous wånk-fest pat me on the back aren't we all wonderful post, he bans me.

Don't get me wrong, I love a good lug, but....it's a lug. People on Madones are not looking at some SLA models of some lugs thinking "That's my next bike". And how many extra bums on seats has Lance caused outside of the USA? Makes me for one want to STOP riding. The French think he's a dickhead and Landis isn't far behind.

You could've summed up the whole ridiculous post by saying "Wow, Lance got a few extra people on Treks over the last 7 years. Great. Some of those may eventually end up on custom bikes. About three of those on custom lugged bikes. In the US. Great. Most of those Madones are probably hanging in the shed gathering dust, so make those 3, 1. Did you know riding a bike, you have to breath hard? It's true. Fark that, I'm going driving in my Lamborghini....

Vallet parking? (Change the '$' to 's')

It's really tough to get excited by a lug when you look at what guys like Keith Bontrager, Dave Turner and Paul Turner have achieved over the years. It's even tougher to get excited by a Madone or a guy who used to ride one coz Lance did.

However, I will get excited whenever I see a Lambo. Especially if it's a Gallardo.....in orange.

(Yes I know the pic is not a Gallardo)

Landis parents - too funny. "You be careful out dere among dem English, young Floyd.."
Interesting to see an article from the US basically naming LA as a prick too - albeit a good bike rider as well.

And good news about the back ed. Hope the recovery continues. You'll find yourself dusting off the Scapin yet.

LMAO @ American Gothic.

Yeah, sorry for the rant, it's just one of those days. Weeks? Years? Actually, **** that, this is funny, let's see how this transpires......

Me: Neil, Is there any particular reason why I'm unregistered from the frameforum? As far as I know I didn't breach any user agreements, unless humour and sarcasm are in there somewhere, or it's somehow a breach of the User Agreement to disagree with people. I mean, do you want colour and dialogue, or do you just want a circle jerk? During our PMs I thought you could give sh¡t as well as take it and thought it was all a good laff, and now you're just some pu$$y of a dictator that can't hack it? WTF is up with that? -Warwick (Thylacine)

Neil: Be a prick somewhere else

Me: A Prick is someone who says: "There's more to framebuilding than fixing stickers on to other people's work you know! If these guys are working out of sheds, which they're not, the stuff that comes out their 'shed' is far superior to anything you'll ever come across! Oh, and it sells!." A true gutless ******* of a prick is someone who can't even take a good humoured response to those comments, takes his bat and his ball home to mommy and locks the door behind him and has a little cry. To top it all off, be sure to slander me while I'm unregistered too, won't you? Wouldn't want to disappoint. -W

Anyone watch the replay of the Laguna Seca MotoGP? That has got to be some of the crappiest camera work seen for a long time.

Reckon if Suzuki can sort out their problems, Chris Vermuelen might even have a chance at a podium position. He rode a brilliant first half, until his tyres started to pack it in - heaven only knows why he went with a medium rear (unless the bike has problems with hard compound tyres)

I have discovered one downside to watching the TdF coverage. It has given me a VERY low tolerance for commentators' verbal diarrhoea. Watched most of the last stage with the sound muted and was seriously tempted to do the same to the MotoGP commentary.

ah ye of little faith., the tyres were fine. he lost fuel pressure in the last 5 laps, hence why the bike stopped 3 corners from the end! apparanrly it was cutting in an out when he got off the throtle. Bad luck to Stoner and either he or Vermulen has a great chance of being podium regulars. Vermulen is at least on pace, if not outpacing Hopkins who is quite highly regarded, so thats a great sign for him, great to see him kicking some assos as i was a big fan of his in WSBK.

not the greatest motoGP race ever, but still a lot better than most other racing on teevee. im hoping Hayden can hold on for the title. WSBK was great as wel.

Nah, he was having problems well before lap 27, his rear end was sliding all over the shop.

Agree Vermuelen and Stoner are good candidtes for podium regulars.

OMG! Jeremy Clarksons's face as he was riding around in the Maserati!
And his comments are absolutely hilarious. Although it is a bit worrying that he appears to be a Doobie Brothers fan.

ah again i disagree hit times were consistant, he didnt get slower everyone else got faster! from the man himself :

"Everything went pretty well at the start, the bike was running well and we made - what I think - was the best tyre choice. Thanks to my whole team and Bridgestone for helping me today. But about 12 laps from the end the bike started cutting out, it was not running smoothly and it was hesitating on corner entry - this was making it so hard to ride," explained Chris. "It got worse and worse and I only just brought it home. In fact three turns after the end of the race it stopped completely! I'm really disappointed that I didn't get a podium but I think we have proved how strong the Rizla Suzuki, Bridgestone tyres and the whole team were here this weekend, and hopefully we can continue this performance in the next few races."

his tyres probably faded a bit, but not as much as was suggested on TV, up to the point where he had issues with the fuel pressure, he was pretty consistant. now Rossi, there was a tyre fade! they looked rooted on the LHS.

Vermulen was also one of the most experienced guys there having ridden it extensivley in his WSBK days. that doesnt explain Edwards form however!

Yeah agree, they looked pretty terminal. I'm not much of a Rossi fan, so I'm glad this season hasn't turned out to be the usual parade of Rossi leading and the rest just fighting it out for the other places. Makes it much more interesting (a bit like this year's TdF )

Yes, that was clearly a "I'm so impressed by this car" hand signal.

And the Jag wasn't dropping oil .... that was part of it's chassis lubrication system.

Anyone catch the program after Top Gear - "The Broken News" or something like that, odd show but rather funny.

I thought it was as funny as cancer. Has there ever been a comedy show that didn't have a news segment? I'm old enough (just) to remember the Two Ronnies doing one.

South Park with the arse head family was much more like it.

Yeah, the skipping between segment thing was a bit too quick, but then it is meant to be a send-up of those silly rolling news channels like CNN and the like.

I thought the missing island thing was quite funny, ditto the football scoreboard and there were some silly things going past on the "crawler" at the bottom of the screen. Might give it a go next week, and see if it improves at all.

The missing island thing got a laugh from me, but I have to agree with classic - the arsehead family on South Park was funnier even though it was far from being one of the greatest episodes...

I decided to end the 'nocturnal festival of velo' with a French dinner this evening, not a bad Provencale casserole to go with the pisspoor weather, and I had the pleasure of a Mercan woman and her teenage son at the next table. Poor lad bore a striking resemblance to one Msr. Landis I was chastened to note. A few moments of merriment such as when she proudly informed the waiter that her main had been ordinary until she mixed the remnants of her soup in. Towards the end we got the 'How much should I tip?' icebreaker. 'Oh 20% should be enough for average service'

I had to ask the young fella if he was there celebrating Ned's win, which he wasn't, but his mum seized the moment to get the details of the latest Mercan success story, which she followed up with a glowing tribute to Lance and a tsk tsk at that drugabusing German and that other one.

Well.... I took a deep breath, knowing full well I was about to destroy all chances of a root from my dinner companion, and launched into a lengthy impassioned, erudite treatise on the deceptions of Lanceyboy and his trained monkeys at the UCI et al. Poor thing was crestfallen.

Ah, does life get any better?

Actually classic1, I prefer "Thylacine Cycles - Kicking Against the Pricks"

I have to say....and this might be controversial.....but I think I prefer Fifth Gear

Comedy wise? South Park is dead. I'm sorry, but the arse head episode wasn't funny. At all. Certainly no Paris Hilton episode anyway.

Denton is rockin' as always. I'm actually bracing myself for Dr.Hans Kreepy and his Plasticised People Show. Will I have nightmares tonight? That's the big question.
