Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

How's that Austral Summer going?

Sitting up here in the US, and the temperature is 13℉. That's -10℃ to those of you in Oz and NZ! How about pumping some of those Summer temps my way!

Sorry to do this to you , but high of 25 deg C today here in NZ. Blue skys, public holiday on Mon so long w/e (yippee) almost perfect for ride along the beachfront today, and balmy evening to share some beers with friends. No doubt our friends in Oz had it hotter, and your turn will come when we have our wet (always wet) cold winter.

Christmas day was cool, but since then we have had nearly every day over 30C and once or twice over 40C in Victoria, except the the last week, where it was mid to high 20s. We had a bit of a cold blast today, only 20C.

I dunno how you guys can even live there! It got to 105 a couple of weeks ago (unpleasant), but today was quite cool, about 60

The coldest days I we get down here in the middle of winter are about 50F, but most winter days peak around 52 to 61

35℃ yesterday, 35℃ today, 36℃ tomorrow and 38℃ for both Saturday and Sunday... which means Saturday crits will be cancelled (they pull the pin over 35℃)

You'll be closer to 30C in Tauranga, we had the national high today. The water is lovely at the moment.

Hey Big Tom!!
haven't you heard, mate? All the north of this continent is covered in floods from the monsoon and cyclone "Ellie" and Victoria in the south is still burning with massive bush fires! -Our beloved land of vast extremes.
