$250 for an electric bike from salvos op shop thrift shop

is this an alright price i seen one there recently dont know the power it was an electric hybrid type bike.

looked newish.

probably hard to say without knowing more about them and this particular example.

I personally think electric bikes are a scurge.... but this is coming from a relatively fit & able bodied 30 something. Ask me again in another 30 or 40 years

Still.. they're probably preferable to those &%^# little mini-motobikes that seem to have plagued Perth's urban cycleways in the months following Christmas the last few years.

But perhaps to give you a more constructive answer;

Gather what more information you can about it and maybe post to the Electric Bike subforum here. Bear in mind this is largely an American forum - so you'll have to consider that when talking about our $AUD dollar values.

I'd see what they retail for new also.. and ask what the risks maybe buying secondhand eg; battery life. Bargains are generally more certain when you know your product a little more beforehand.

It got sold.

It was cheap because there was no charger for it.
