    3G bikes anyone

Anyone have any experience with 3G bikes? They're all cruisers but they're really cheap and I was wondering what the deal is. They're designed by the guy who started phat cycles (or phat city something) and appear to be mail order only. I'm guessing made in china but I was wondering if anyone has ridden one or knows anything about build quality, components, etc. I'm curious because I've been looking around for companies that make decent yet cheap bikes.

3G has a cheap cruiser that sells for around $250, although it's not a bad bike ( I see a lot worse ), the way they save money is by using steel instead of aluminum and not using ss spokes in their wheels, so rust is a issue with them. We have sold out of everyone we ordered for the last 2yrs and really haven't had any issues with them, well no more so then we do with the more expensive brands we sell anyway.

I was looking for a cruiser with quality looks and comfort. I didn't care about price. I tried out all kinds of bikes from Huffy to Electra and all between. Cheap quality to what some say is the best. I then test rode the 3G Newport Deluxe with aluminum frame fat 3 inch tires and 3 piece cranks. I fell in love. It was the lightest most comfortable bike I tried. It was between the 3G and a Phat aluminum cruiser that I narrowed it down too. I purchase the 3G for $400. The quality is there and my girlfriend says I smile like a kid every time I ride it. I would recommend to anyone. There basic cruisers just that, but the higher end ones are some of the best out there IMHO.

I work at a bike shop and all we sell now is 3G bikes.. the rest are gathering dust..lol They ride smooth and pedal easy, quality is excellent, we haven't had one come back for any kind of work so far, not even a flat tire.

3G Bike has one of the best quality cruisers in the market. it's called Newport .
It is lightweight aluminum frame w/fat tires and treadless headset which you can't find on cheap bikes and rust-free chain and CNC Machined end-cap...
If you don't have any bike shop selling 3g bikes, check mfg website(3gbikes.com) for any online seller.

LBS sells them (+ others).. most people are no longer willing to pay more ,
so ROC/Taiwan and PRC have most of the manufacturing contracts.
