Here's my 3G Bikes Newport 3-speed at Hilton Head, SC. I installed MX style handlebars 'cause I live in the hills of Tennessee.

I wantet it to have some "schwinn wasp" looks to it, but here scaled up to 29er size.
The SON dynamo hub and Alfien 11 makes it very versetail, and a few light components helps keeping the weight to an acceptable level.
For instance, it is set up tubeless with carbon fiber rims and the frame is titanium.

Has become my everyday ride, and I must say. I really(!) enjoy riding it.

Ha ha ha. TI, CF, Discs, and 11 speeds on a beach cruiser. It's like a high end road bike/balooner Frankenstein. Original for sure.

Looking thru here I was hoping to find an old Monarch with the faux gas tank & double
springer fork. That was a cruiser, 3" balloons. The suspension could get a bit dicey
down 'steep' gravel hills or when landing a ramp jump, but that was the proto-mtn.
mountain bike, (downhill anyways). There were plenty of trails in the foothills of
Pike's Peak; We'd walk 'em up & fly 'em down.
This is what I'm stuck with now, though it's been seriously upgraded since the picture
was taken: Garbage twist shifters for high end, top thumbs. Grinder 28/14 gone for
a good 32/12. Riveted 48/38/28 gone for a good 46/36/26. Stem replaced with a double
bolt clamped to a 2" riser. It cost $35. A few upgrades didn't hurt my wallet much. It's
basically a sound bike with some lousy stock components.

Just went & took a picture as it is now set up for back country touring.
A few more mods yet to come. Basically just padded bar ends so I can
turn it upside down if I need to. It also hitches to a trailer which I use
to carry groceries, etc. Does OK on the beach if ya stick to hard sand.

Replaced the silver chain with a black one. Also removed the huge LOGOS from the tires.

It's difficult to capture with my camera, almost impossible really, but it's a fine metallic flake.

Do these work?

I sold this bike earlier this week due to some geometry-related handling issues.

3 Speed Speedster with 27's

27" alloy wheels instead of the extra heavy chrome 26s. Plastic fenders replace the heavy chrome. Much quicker and more responsive, more fun to ride, and no mods necessary (except to lace the SA hub onto 27" hoop).

Next step will be to replace the heavy Ashtabula with a 3 piece crank with similar teeth count to chain ring currently installed as i like the present gearing.
