A new Wald fender just wouldn't be right for this 60's Roadmaster. I'll find an appropriate dented, rusty thing at a swap meet someday - maybe for a buck or two.

Love the clean look!
I just received a Wald low-rise cruiser bar and those Oury grips in the mail a few days ago; I'm hoping to build a cheap Takara Kabuto up to something similar (after a fork swap + a few other mods).
Well-done!

True, but not for a buck or two. But wait! I found one last week at a swap meet. $3.00. Dented. A little rust. Peaked, but, d'oh, it was the rear not the front. The search continues...

Here's a 1930s Elgin I've been using as a "test vehicle" for wheels I've built.
This set is 28h Ritchey mtb rims, wheelsmith db spokes, alloy nipples, cartridge bearing front, sachs automatic 2-speed rear, continental town & country tires.
Just took it for a spin; it really, really goes!

Riding like its 1990
Well, no takers in its moutain bike form so I decided to put it together stock since I already painted everything. Pinstriping and new shifter and gears added. She's done and hope to find her a new home now. Not enough room in the garage!
And a before shot

My latest. All I had to do was add the new saddle, (pictured) new bars and grips, (pictured) a new upper bearing race, a new/smaller chrome bell, and a good cleaning! Not that it was all that dirty, just wanted to kill some surface rust while keeping it looking rustic!

new guy here, heres a few pics.
black bike is a 1948 Raleigh.picked that one up for free, not sure what to do with that one yet.other pics is of a c'list find for 15$,according to the serial #,its a 1953 murray, looking at the headbadge,im not so sure, looks newer.im thinking early 70's,late 60's.anyways,was a mish mash of parts when I got it as you can see by the pics.wrong seat, bars, neck, sprocket, rims.I added the correct murray parts back to it.since pics were taken, added the proper chrome fenders,& a chrome chain guard.rides beautifully

I wish you were closer. I like the Calypso, they go for around $200 or less in my area (a few hundred miles north of you).
