Beach Cruisers Do you love balloon tires and fenders? Do you love riding the simplicity of a single gear and coaster brakes or a single gear cluster? You misunderstand me; the frame looks fine (although I think a straightbar like the one pictured would be preferable to a canti frame), but you'd do better if you lost the fenders, put some knobbies on it, and got a fork that won't break on the first big root you hit....I run a SE Landing Gear.

I ride trails on a worksman with dual drum brakes and bmx parts; I'm no stranger to riding cruisers on trails. But, in my experience, fenders are dangerous offroad...

The gearing looks pretty tall, too... but that all depends on your trails and style. I shoot for about 2:1 or roughly 50"...

I got a new-school heavy duti frameset. My buddy Harry said he wants it, but he hasn't collected yet. I'm not sure what i want to do with it...(I was gonna build a neo-klunk until i decided to buy a Genuine.) Nothing as cool as the ol' 50s straightbars but it does take a 1.125" fork......

That's a stock photo; not my exact frame. (Same paintjob, though.)

PS- I already gave Harry a '52 Hornet frame with some weird custom details.... and gave him a lead on his '74 LeTour in 95% original condition. I'm always passing Schwinns to ol' Harry.

OK people, I just built her but things being what they are she's got to go! If you're interested in the Manhattan Cruiser and live in or around the Philadelphia area (I will not ship) please let me know.

ILB, nevermind my earlier suggestion. Just send beachhandy some pics of the bike, and let him compose your craigslist post. It's sure to be an advertising masterpiece..
