Beach Cruisers Do you love balloon tires and fenders? Do you love riding the simplicity of a single gear and coaster brakes or a single gear cluster? Do you love the classic curves in the tubing of a cruiser that takes you back to the 1950's and 1960's, stylistically? Here's your home! Welcome to the Beach Cruisers and Cruisers forum!

My Cart Path Crusier

I built is one from a Cromoly MTB frame . Using the small chainring , the bike spins out around 9 MPH . But that's what I wanted . No speeder , just a cruiser . Makes it easy to tackle the hills getting out of my subdivision .
Not finished with it , need to build some type of crash ring to make the crank/chainring look a little better and add a chain guard . I have a chain guard , I just need to paint it black or red , and attach it . Kirby

Nice. You could even put the middle chain ring and FD back on & make it a 2 speed.

The rear derailleur would be needed to take up the chain slack though.

You're right. A chain tensioner or RD wouldn't look as clean, would it?
