I should know better by now...

Went to the LBS to pick up some parts I had ordered for one of my other bikes...

I walked down the used bike line and got in trouble :innocent:

Bought two:o

A 2008 Schwinn Classic 3 and a 2007? Giant Melbourne city bike.

The Schwinn comes with the Wald 520? rear baskets on it, don't plan any real modifications at this time, just going to ride it and enjoy.

The Giant is going to get a tune up and be headed off to Boston to live for a while with my son.

The picture of the Schwinn is a stock photo, for some reason the one I took at the LBS didn't come out.:notamused:

Cool.

I personally feel like I gotta set limits on myself as far as knowing what I intend to buy and promising to stick with it before I even enter the shop....:)

They both look like great city/commuter/utility/fun bikes.

Dunno.. are we counting complete bikes? Or the parts to build bikes or?... :p Somewhere around 30, and probably enough parts to build 5 or 6 more.:innocent:

Finally got around to dragging my bikes home... I bought them back in February and just now got a chance to get back down to the store with a truck to pick them up.

Here are pictures of the Schwinn, I am going to have fun with this one. Right now the only planned changes are to add a Sturmey-Archer XL-FDD hub (90mm drum brake with a dyno), chrome B&M LED bullet head light and a fender mount tail light. Baskets may or may not stay, if they go I will put a front package rack of some sort on it.

Nice finds, Wahoo!! Both of those bikes look classy and built for utility. I wish our LBS's would carry used inventories like that...mostly all they get back from the general public are used road bikes, either from people who never used them or from weekend warriors trading up.
