New "Beast like" geared bike offered up at "The Mart."

Yup, they got a new 26 inch (they also have a new 20 inch) phat tire bike up for sale at walmart. Looked pretty decent till the price went up from 225.00 to 350.00 basically over night! Its called The Dolomite. Not worth the 350.00 asking but hey, some of you might have the bones to throw at it. http://www.walmart.com/ip/29741123?w...382981&veh=sem

You see, their morals, their code...it's a bad joke, dropped at the first sign of trouble. They're only as good as the world allows them to be. I'll show you. When the chips are down, these...These "civilized" people...they'll eat each other. See, I'm not a monster. I'm just ahead of the curve

Could be a lot of bike for fair money at the end of the day.
My preferred bicycle brand is.......WORKSMAN CYCLES
I dislike clipless pedals on any city bike since I feel they are unsafe.

It was up on the walmart site for 225.00, it quickly went up to 350.00. More than a few people that bought it have had to change out components due to failure, that makes for a pretty high priced low end Fat Tire bike. I ended up upgrading my Beast but I only paid 200.00 for it.

    I got one for 225!

It came needing some attention, like adjusting the crank, and the brakes.

i have a beast too, and really enjoy riding both. The dolomite is significantly more capable than the beast. I dropped some dosh on parts to make it more my style.

In maybe a week or two it should be up to the task of some serious miles this summer. Should be more comfort than I know what to do with on the c&o canal path. Definetly been enjoying some local off road deer trails and the like.

I don't know if it is worth e price at 350, but for 225 I'm ticketed pink.

Geared too high for me and my knees, going to try to run a mountain triple, and a mega range freewheel. Maybe it's the Q factor giving me worries about knee strain, or the high intensity intervals I started doing recently.

I saw bikesdirect just announced some cheaper gravity brand fat bikes. They also have a deal on fat bike tires if anyone needs a pair. Got two vee rubber vee 8 in the mail for 70 shipped.

Mongoose's bike dealer line intended for bike shops. Under $1000 for a dealer quality fat bike is impressive!

Yep, I'm considering getting one. They look pretty sweet and will be a nightmare for the big $ bike companies.
