Locknut in different sizes?
I like to ask do the locknuts that lock the cassette/cogs in come in different sizes.
would need a longer length, as i was able to get my cogs tightened but would be more secure of the locknut was a bit longer?
since i run a 1x10.

What do you mean "more secure" ?? Are the cogs loose when the locknut is tight ?
Perhaps a spacer behind the cassette would be the correct fix ??

If you are using a Shimano 10-speed cassette, be sure the 1 mm spacer behind the largest cog is in place. Lockrings do come in different outside diameters as those for an 11T smallest cog are smaller than for a 12T and above but the threads are the same.

Lockrings coming off a properly assembled rear wheel is very, very rare.
If your rear wheel isn't coming together properly, Your efforts would be better spent researching and fixing the root cause instead of trying to find a probably nonexisting part to fix a non-problem.

Took the lock ring off, and as I removed the cogs the ratcheting mechanism on which the cogs mount fell into 3 pieces! I guess the cogs and lock ring held everything together but I wonder what would have happened over time.
Can imagine how this might have broken!
