Ceramic bearings for Trek FX 7.7 2015

I have been attempting to get some specifics as to the size of bearings to order. LBS has no idea and TREK as weird as this sounds does not have that either. STRANGE. SO who knows? Also want to replace BB90 with .

Bearings for... what? Hubs, headset, bottom bracket?

Regardless, ceramic bearings are a complete waste of money on a bicycle.

Not strange at all, sensible. Don't bother with ceramic bearings; normal steel bearings are so efficient that the difference is imperceptible and difficult to measure except by sensitive instruments. They are a pointless waste of money.

Yup, and you can't even show them off because they're hidden.

On a Trek FX, with flat bars? You will get more bang for your buck on other investments when it comes to speed/wattage savings, like tires.

The 7.7 FX is basically a Domane 4 with flat bar components. The crankset is Tiagra Hollowtech II, which uses a 24 mm crank axle, just like 105, Ultegra, and Dura-Ace. All current Trek OCLV frames use press-fit BB90 bottom bracket bearings.

If you're still interested, here's a link to ceramic BB90 bearings for Shimano: F1 Ceramic Bearings for Trek BB90/Shimano 10/11 Bottom Bracket (BB)

"The BB. The only part that your legs directly connect to. That means any drag or resistance in your BB is felt by your legs when pedaling. By upgrading to a xx Ceramic BB, you will notice a higher cadence and less resistance. What does that mean? More power which means more speed!"

With ad copy like that, everyone will soon buy their bearings!
