Whats your opinion on Shimano Hone Rear Hubs?

Hello all there's a guy near me selling two brand new still in the box 36H Shimano Hone rear hubs for $30 for both. I was wondering do you think there worth the asking price? And do you think they would be good suit for a single speed dirt jumper?

if these are the same hubs, then it doesn't look like much of a deal. shipping price and delay would make it about a wash.

I'm talking about the Rear hubs not the front. Its actually two of these just the 36H version. Shimano Hone FH M600 MTB Rear HUB 32 Hole 10mm Axle 1 PCS 505G Black Color | eBay

And also i'm in Canada so prices are a little more.

Two brand new hubs for $30 is a deal for just about anything Shimano, especially decent kit like Hone. Hone (Deore LX level) was a cheaper version of Saint (Deore XT level). Both lines were overbuilt for downhill MTB use. So, Hone hubs should be strong enough for dirt jumping.

BUT you should use single speed hubs for a single speed bike. The Hone hub you linked to has a multi-speed freehub that takes up ~40 mm of the axle, making the spoke flanges narrower and offset.
Single speed hubs have wider flanges because the freewheel or freehub is much shorter. Wider flanges = stronger wheel, which is important for dirt jumping.

Ya I know getting a single speed rear hub would be ideal but finding a 36 hole SS rear hub is almost impossable to find at a decent price. It seems as soon as the single speed is added to anything the price jumps up.

This is likely because they only manufacture a small fraction of the number of multi speed hubs so lose the economy of scale.

I plan on getting a Gusset Double Six single speed adapter tho. And to be honest my bike is more used as a commuter with the odd time at the track.
