There are probably 10,000 "clicking" threads on BF.

10 Wheels's point is you need to be certain it is coming from the wheel...

IME, carbon rims pick up sounds that aluminum rims don't. i would check that the valve stem is not hitting the rim. if it does it will happen once per revolution. or at least it did in my case.

jinghung, welcome to BF!

Some thoughts which may help you track down the annoying clicking sound:

How have you deduced that the sound is coming from your front rim and for example, not the hub/spoke interface?
What wheels are they, as others may have the same issue?

Far more likely IMO is that the sound you refer to appears to be coming from the front rim but in fact the source is elsewhere. Good luck as clicking sounds are notoriously difficult to pin down. I recently spent an awful lot of time trying to track down a ticking that I was convinced was coming from the front end (headset, front wheel, stem/bar interface, etc. all checked) and all along it was dirty threads in the BB - an easy fix.

In the past, I've had the chain, saddle rail / seat post interface, replaceable dropout, worn BB, cable end catching crank, cable end catching shoe (the list goes on, you get the idea) that have all caused ticking noises that have taken varying amounts of time to diagnose. The point is that you shouldn't narrow your search to just the front rim until you've ruled out an awful lot of other potential sources. And yes, the replaceable dropout ticking was a bear to find!

Again, good luck!

+1 carbon is LOUD. A lot of rims actually come with replaceable adhesive flanges that go over the valve stem so it doesn't flop around and make noise. Check that, and your frame, and how tight your skewer is.
