Can't figure out bike/bike trainer

Hello all, I'm new here. I bought a Schwinn bike last year. Recently, I bought a bike trainer. I tried taking out the pin that goes through the back wheel so that I could insert the quick release, but the pin is in there solid, and won't come out. I am sort of poor, so the bike I bought came from walmart and didn't cost over 100. I don't know if it's because it's a cheap bike, a certain incompatible model with trainers or what. I'm not sure if I should take the trainer back. I'm just completely frustrated.

Rear wheels are either QR or not, and it sounds like yours aren't. So skip the skewer and mount the cups of the trainer over the nuts holding your wheel on. On some bikes and trainers, you might need to add an extra nut on each side to lengthen the axle slightly because the trainer is made for a wider rear wheel.

Okay, I tried it. Everything's set up; however, the pedals won't turn when I push on them with my feet. It's as if it's locked up there by where the cups attach to the trainer. Any ideaS? I made sure the dial that controls resistence is on the easiest level. So, its set up right, I think, something just seems a tad off

Possibly when you loosened the wheel it moved in the frame. Check that it's centered and not rubbing either chainstay. Try spinning the wheel by hand to make sure it's free before doing anything else.

Can you post a picture of the wheel axle and the bike trainer. A few pictures conveys a lot of information
