Small nick in sidewall? Or is rubber peeling?
I bought a new Michelin Pro4 Endurance tire to replace one that I blew out when I ran over not one but two shattered beer bottles.
Well I went for a ride today came home and during my post ride check of the tire I discovered a small nick in the side wall. My first thought was a specie of glass caused it but it doesn't seem cut like. In fact it seems almost like the rubber is peeling. Is the tire safe? Or should I try to return it?
My inclination is to ignore it but I'd thought I'd ask.

Well, without seeing the tire in person it's hard to make a judgement. To me it looks like a cut, not a manufacturing defect but take it to the dealer for their opinion, unless you bought it on-line. However, there isn't any damage to the casing so a dab of Shoe-Goo or similar repair goop should be an adequate repair.

@HillRider Thanks for the reply! Do I just take a dab of the repair goop and put it underneath the rubber?
Would it be unsafe to ride the tire as is?

Spread the Shoe Goo under and over the cut and smooth it down to glue the loose flap in place and protect the casing from further hits. The tire loos safe to use and the Shoe Goo repair should let you get full service from it.
