Rim choice help

Hi, I need help picking rims.

I have the choice between Alex DA-22's and Alex AT-450's

Both are laced to the same hubs

The 22's have a higher profile, the 450's seem a little lighter.

Any reason to go with one over the other?

Going to be used for general cycling and a little bit of event riding.

The AT450 is a heavier rim, despite your experience. This is not necessarily a bad thing, as the cross section/eyelets are indicative of a stronger rim.

So...I would say go with the AT450 if the rider+bike weight is on the heavier side, the DA22 if lighter.

Is there a reason you are compelled by those 2 choices?

What tire size do you plan to use?

Its just the two options I have to go with.
I'll be running 25's, and i'm not a heavy rider, only at about 160lbs and on a modern alum/carbon frame.

I think you answered your own question. Decide for yourself whether you want a more aero profile, even if it adds a bit of weight.
