1 1/4" headset for 34mm head tube?

I'm pretty sure it's not a thing but I was wondering if anyone has heard of a headset that fits a 34mm (1 1/8" traditional) head tube that could take a 1 1/4" tapered steerer. In theory I think there's enough space but I've never heard of one.

I've read your post twice...do you mean that the other way around? Headtube 1.25" and steerer tube 1.125"? Steerer tubes larger than head tubes only work if you warp space-time.

I was thinking something along the lines of 44mm head tubes with an external lower bearing to take a 1.5" fork. It seems like it would be possible but I've never seen one.

34 mm = 1.33858267717 in .. 1.25 in = 31.75 mm..

you may be able to machine teflon thrust bushings in your Machine shop,, not just ask on the internet what your shopping shortcut is.

the tapered head tube has been evolving to use really larger 1.5" bottoms ..
