Cables and Housing

I'm getting to the point of recabling a few bikes in its last stages of resto. I want to buy cables, both shifter and brake, as well as housing for both in bulk. Where is the best place to purchase from. I'm looking for like 25-50 pack of brake/shift cables and say, 50-60m of housing for each.

Post your detailed specifications in the Personal Shopping Service Forum and someone will get right on it. Or you could solicit competitive bids.

You might do well to buy from Niagara Cycle.

Niagara, AEBike, any of the big QBP resellers could take care of that for you. Shop for price ..... etc..

I've bought a few E-Bay stainless brake & shifter cables, usually somewhere around $1 each.

Although, I wanted to get some Campy cables with the last batch, so I snagged a few with my most recent Ribble order (usually trying to add in a 5 to 10% off coupon too).

Walmart sells some complete sets -- easy to get locally or online.

As Noglider said, Niagara is really good. I've had some really good luck with eBay though

Check REI to see if they are still having the clearance sale on cable housing and cable sets, and if there is any left. Housing was selling by the 25' roll for $12-$14 (depending on whether shift or brake housing). Brake or shift cable sets (front and rear) with housing, inners, and ends were about $12

25-50 cables for each and 50-60 meters of housing for each? Thats more than just a few bikes!

I hit up Amazon for jagwire shift housing and sunlite brake housing. They only come in 25' lengths...at least what I buy. Both are lined and work great.

https://www.amazon.com/Jagwire-4mm-De.../dp/B001GSQJ4G 50m for $75.

If you go with Niagara, they have a presence on Ebay and Amazon, as well as their own website. Prices for the same thing can vary at each venue, so check each before buying.
