switching to a triple new front derailleur?
so my daughters bike she is more comfortable with lower gears so I converting to a triple
she has a 105 system now 2x10
Do I need a triple front derailleur or will the current be fine

A triple front derailleur will be better and front derailleurs are a low cost component. So, if you are going to the cost of a new crank and shifters, you might as well go for the proper front derailleur.
