spokes length

i am thinking of relacing my front wheel to a snowflake pattern, just for the looks and the experience..., anyway my current spokes are 296mm and laced 2x , what length should i need? ive read somewhere about 4 mm more than 3x lacing, so i would need around 304? now i have dt competition and thinking of dt revolution is it more elastic to building and does that taken into account?

thanks

Depends on both pattern and number of twists. Why not just Google snowflake wheel build? Much more relevant results when you are looking primarily at folks who have done it before.

And the reason most here haven't done this, or don't any more after their first is because it's a lot more work to build up and does nothing for the structure. But the OP knows this. Andy
