Brake Hoods without Levers

Hey I was at a bike shop in a farther away than usual neighbourhood the other day with a friend who was just going in and out for something quickly. But while I was in there I saw these cool round rubber grips that looked like short all rubber bar ends that go at the top of the drops to simulate hoods. they look a lot like round hoods with no lever. I ask not because I want to keep the brakeless fad alive, but because I'm interested in Casey's crazy bars from vélo orange and a deal breaker would be if I could put these rubber bar ends on them to get that drop bar hood feel in addition to the comfy swept back position, which is where I'd want my brake levers.

The funny thing is VO used to carry them. You're looking for the Dia Compe hand/knob grips.

You use to see those on drop bars for the stoker in a tandem setup. I am sure they were used in other ways also.

There are also Tandem Stoker Brake Levers, although perhaps a bit odd on a fixie.

Might as well buy brake levers and punch the lever pivot pin out. At least it'll be useful if you decide you want brakes.
