can anyone help me with the following proble:

The rear wheel of my mountain bike remains stationary, despite turning the Crankarm; the chain is on & working; the gears ok

Age of the bike ?

Either the freewheel (older bike) or the freehub (post-1990 bike) is shot. That's a 20-30 $ part.
