Please help identify these things that came with my new tiagra FD
Hi ya'll.
These little things came with my tiagra FD. They are curved and have little white foam pads and I think they have adhesive on them. My guess is maybe they are meant to be used with a braze on adapter as shims? Do they keep the FD in place on the mount of the braze on adapter so it doesn't slide?
Having a little trouble finding info on these buggers.
Thanks in advance!

Those are backing plates that stick onto the frame. There's a set screw that touches the frame to adjust the angle of the derailer and helps brace the derailer during a shift so it's not just supported by the braze-on tab. Those prevent the screw from gouging your frame.
