10 speed spacer? needed?
simple quick question.,, i have a 10speed free hub, dura ace.. i am installing a ultegra 10sp cassette..
so do i need a spacer? the box came with one... but i did not there is not one on the old cassette, so i am thinking that this only applies to 10speed to 11speed conversion.. it seem like it shifts the der spacing too much to the right if i use it... sorry for the silly question but.. since i have not used it in the past.. with my 10 speed wheel sets.. im thinking that with a new cassette i should not use it now...
so when should you use the little 1.5mm spacer?

Shimano 10-speed cassettes used on 8/9/10-speed hubs require a 1 mm spacer behind the largest cog of the cassette. Using a 10-speed cassette on an 11-speed freehub you will need that 1 mm spacer plus an accessory 1.8 mm spacer.

Kinda confused by this. I've used, Shimano, a 10-spd cassette on an 11-spd hub with no spacers with no issues. Shifted well and ran quiet.
