How I fixed my tubeless road tire

I sort of stumbled into what I think is a reasonably easy fix for small holes in tubeless road tires. This is a mashup of several techniques I found elsewhere, but nothing seemed as simple as this method. I've ridden about 30 miles and waited 48 hours without pressure loss, so I feel confident that it works.

Disclaimer: This worked for me. It might not work for you. I used it with Schwalbe Pro 1s. I don't know if it will work equally well with other road tires. There are potentially hazardous materials involved. Be smart about their use.

Materials needed: Traditional rubber cement based patch kit; alcohol; rags; latex sealant.

Remove tire, remove and recover latex from inside tire.

Clean inside of tire in area of hole (about 2+ inches on either side) with rag to remove and dry latex.

Apply some alcohol to rag, wipe previously cleaned area of tire.

Apply rubber cement to area where patch will be. Let it dry. Consider using a hair dryer to hasten drying and improve flexibility of tire.

Apply patch carefully. Smooth and ensure that it adheres completely. Again, consider using a hair dryer to improve drying and flexibility.

Re-install tire, add sealant, and inflate.

Bingo!

Happy to answer any Qs.

Yeah, that seems simple.
